So, after 8 years of cyclocross, I should really know better. The race in Greensboro was rainy, had about every obstacle you could hope for except for some killer climb, and was loaded with participants. So, I managed my low expectations rather well, rolling in around dead last. I made three laps of the course, which had two sections of sand through a volleyball court, some slick grass, riding through muddy puddles, plenty of mud and a small stair climb. In all, about a perfect course. Absolutely lovely.
My pal Brian raced his new Ridley Crossbow there and his wife, Julia, was kind enough to shoot some pics. Great, exhausting, painful and glorious race.
